Unlocking the potential of NSW Government information

The NSW Government is working to provide a roadmap for how we can manage information to improve service delivery to the public.

The roadmap will address:

• Our State - Open access to NSW Government information
• Our Information - The potential value of NSW Government information is maximised
• Our Practices - Information practices are efficient and sustainable
• Our People - Responsibilities for managing information are clearly understood and embraced by everyone

NSW Government has already put in place mechanisms to make freely available a considerable amount of information to the public. You can access the NSW Data Catalogue via www.data.nsw.gov.au

As part of New South Wales Government’s commitment to fostering an ‘Open Government’ and a move towards web 2.0 technologies we are launching a public competition for applications and ideas that use NSW data called apps4nsw. More information about the competition is available here.
